Apple cider vinegar was used on pets with dry and itchy skin, and has been proven to be effective in humans as well. It can also help deal with dandruff and sunburn. You can use apple cider vinegar by soaking in an apple cider vinegar bath. Simply add a few cups of apple cider in your bath water and soak in them for a few minutes. If it affects a small area, you can use a cotton ball and dip it in app vinegar. Though, try to avoid using this on sensitive areas such as your face or genital areas.

Montmorillonite or bentonite clay are the ideal type of clay to use when it comes to curing skin itch and even acne. These types of skin are also known to heal bug bites and venomous stings. The clay can help remove the venom out of the skin, reducing pain and itch. Start by using untreated clay for your skin. Mix the clay in a bowl with a cup of filtered water until it turns into a cream type consistency. Once you get this consistency, you can use your hands to apply it on the affected area. Allow the clay to dry completely. If your skin is sensitive, rinse the clay with lukewarm water. If it’s not peel it off gently. You can also use this on your face.

Peppermint leaves are a great natural remedy for skin itching and bug bites since it can create a cooling sensation that can give you relief. The quickest and easiest way for you to use peppermint leaves is to crush them up and rub the leaves and juices directly on the skin. You could also freeze the crushed peppermint leaves in ice cubes. This gives you double cooling effect and a numbing sensation that can help reduce the swelling or pain caused by bug bites. Make sure to use filtered water when using this remedy.

Aloe Vera is known for treating sunburn and skin irritation. It is also versatile enough that it can help educe skin itching, bug bites and swelling. The easiest way for you to use Aloe Vera is to break of the leaf of the plant and extract the gel inside. Apply the gel directly on the affected area and that’s that. You can use the extra gel later on by refrigerating it. Reapply the Aloe Vera every 4 hours to reduce skin irritation.
