Most of us wake up every morning, have a cup of coffee then head to work then back home to do some stuff before bed time. It has become a routine that can become dreary for long. If you are craving for something new or would like to inject a bit of creativity to your life, how about trying these few tips out?
 
Write for 10 minutes each day

You don’t have to consider yourself as a poet or a professional writer to do this. As a matter of fact, you can write anything under the sun within 10 minutes. It may be something that you’re feeling bad about or something extra special. Whatever it is, spend 10 minutes each day writing it out.

Brighten things up

Another way to add a bit of creativity to your life is to add a splash of color to your life. If you spend most of your time in the office, why not use some colored memo pads to your desk, or add some flowering plants that will make your space come alive?

Snap a photo

Use your smartphone to do something creative. Take a photo every time on the same hour wherever you may be. Give it a creative twist and you’ll see something new every day. You’ll find that you’ll be looking forward to these moments the more you take photos of your surroundings.
 
Be your art

If you have been doing some art, why not share them with the world? If you make bags, scarves, bracelets, and the like, wear them on yourself and be proud of it. People will see what you have made and who knows? They might ask you to make one for them and make money on the side.

Spend some time alone

One way to get your creativity flowing is to spend some time alone. You can stay at home if you like or why not go out for a walk in the park or somewhere isolated where you can be alone with your thoughts. You’ll find that you’re going to feel refreshed and ready for a bit of creativity when you come back.

You may not be a fan of reading but spending ten minutes reading a book, newspaper, magazine, or any paper for that matter can help kick your imagination up. Your brain becomes active when you make it do a task so make sure that you try this from time to time. You might be surprised that you are hooked into reading in no time.

Do a visual thinking journal

Another way to add a bit of creativity to your life is to start a visual thinking journal. You don’t have to worry if you are not good at drawing. You can use this journal to help you visualize what you want to do or achieve.
