Our love for anything sweet is one of the reasons why we are still struggling with losing weight. Serotonin is also referred to as the happiness hormone which you can actually elevate through exercise, diet, and getting enough sleep. If you’re feeling generally good, you are less likely to want anything sweet.
- Sip some wine during dinner. Another trick to keeping your sugar addiction at bay is to drink wine while having dinner. Alcoholic beverages like wine have the ability to block sugar so if you consume wine while eating, you are preventing your liver from producing glucose. However, don’t overindulge yourself with wine as drinking too much can cause your calorie intake to increase while leaving you a bit tipsy after a few glasses.
